By now we have all seen and enjoyed the Royal Wedding!
Harry and Meghan were blessed with the most beautiful day that even the Royal family couldn’t have ordered. The flowers were so delicate for the bridal party, and the arches were phenomenal displays of seasonal blooms – all created without floral foam – wow!
A few months back we were privileged to be asked to provide the florals for a styled shoot organised by La Belle Cake Company . Shelly had been invited to create her forecast of the royal wedding cake – and it was breathtaking! You can’t create something so beautiful without getting some images of it in the right setting so this is where we were invited to come in.
Shelly approached me in the middle of silly season between Valentine’s Day and Mothers Day and I was only to happy to be involved providing she trusted me to just get on with it and didn’t want too much of an idea of what I was planning!
The shoot came alive at the incredible Rothamsted Manor and Shelly selected the most gorgeous dark panelled room with a long table down the centre.
The incredible 5 tier cake took centre stage and we repeated the height with gorgeous gold candelabras adorned with foliages, hydrangea and roses. We then brought the eye down low with floral runners and added orchids and beautifully scented lilac flowers. The stylist Venue styling by Sara had brought along gorgeous sequin runners which really set this look off!
The images were captured by a super lovely husband and wife team GnBri Photography. I really hope we have the pleasure of working with these two again – they were so thorough and achieved exactly the look Shelly was hoping for.
Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their special day.
