Today, it is my pleasure to introduce a lovely couple who met in Las Vegas and married at The Dairy, a stunning wedding venue situated within the Waddesdon Manor estate in Buckinghamshire. We are fortunate to be on their exclusive suppliers list. It is a luxurious building full of history and it was an honour to share in Rich & Toni’s special day.
I hope you enjoy reading about their wedding, as much as we enjoyed participating.
How long have you been together?
We have been together for 5 years.
Where did you meet?
We met in 2014 at a mutual friends wedding in Las Vegas of all places! We clicked instantly and quickly became great friends and the rest as they say is history!
How did you get engaged?
Rich proposed to me in 2016 in New York at the top of the Rockefeller Centre with a white and black diamond ring, I had no idea!
Who was included in your Wedding Party?
Our wedding party was my sister and best friend as bridesmaids and Rich’s brother and best friend as best men and 2 close friends as groomsmen, plus my Dad as father of the bride.
Where did you choose for your Wedding Venue?
We chose to have our wedding at The Dairy at Waddesdon Manor, after falling in love with the venue at one of their wedding inspiration days. It was also a great location for family and friends who were mostly based in Hertfordshire and London.
What style of Wedding Dress did you choose?
I wore a tea length ivory, lace bardot neck bridal gown, which showed off two pairs of beautiful shoes! Betsey Johnson heels for the day and Sparkly Kate Spade Keds for the evening
What made you choose this style of Bridal Gown?
I knew I wanted a shorter dress, as I love my shoes and I am only 5’1″. This was the 3rd dress I tried. I fell in love with it more, every time I tried it on.
What was your colour scheme/theme?
We went for a burgundy colour scheme with ivory, as they are classic colours, and I had always liked the idea of a burgundy waistcoat on a wedding suit!
What was your favourite part of the day?
Our favourite part of the day was the ceremony itself which we held across the lake from our guests. It was late March and the weather stayed perfect for us all day!
We also loved the bubble “confetti”, the Harpist who played an array of classical and modern songs, and the Magician we had to entertain our guests during the wedding breakfast.
What are your wedding must have items?
Toni – lip balm for all the talking you do!
Rich – a hip flask and a bespoke playlist for the evening.
Is there anything you would change or any advice you would like to give to those planning their weddings?
We wouldn’t change anything about our day. It truly was perfect!
We would advise couples to try and relax and enjoy every moment of the day. Find vendors you like and who make you feel at ease with all the decisions.
Finally if the Groom is a nervous public speaker, have the speeches before the food so you can enjoy your meal. We did and the groom felt much better for it.
What style of flowers did you choose?
We chose our flowers mainly for our colour scheme and based on Emma’s recommendations from our initial chat, to go with our woodland theme.
How did you feel when you saw your Wedding Flowers?
When the flowers arrived it was so lovely to see everything in person after having discussions for so long.
Rich in particular said to see it all coming together as Emma decorated the venue was amazing. Little touches like the ribbons and table decorations were really beautiful.
When Emma handed the bouquets to me it all felt very real and exciting! They were so beautiful and I held mine nearly all day, I didn’t want to put it down! My bridesmaids equally loved theirs.
