Way back in the Summer of 2013 I was invited by the very lovely Sue of Ice the Cake to join a team of incredible wedding suppliers at a styled shoot, held in the truly beautiful grounds of Nether Winchendon House.
Nestled between Aylesbury and Thame is this stunning country house wedding venue. A family home for the last 450 years, it is steeped in history and full of treasures.
The day’s shoot was to focus on children at weddings and what better way to do this than with flower wands, pastel ribbons and the adorable buttonholes? The flowers I opted for were pastel shades and included hydrangeas, stocks and roses.
And no wedding is complete without a gorgeous bride; Lauren was dressed by the super talented Estilo Moda bridal – if you are looking for something bespoke then please get in touch with these incredible ladies! Hair and make up were done by the dream team of Harriet Bartley Mobile Hairstylist and Feel Beautiful by Carla Tangi. I can personally recommend these two ladies as I chose them for my big day! They work wonders! I love the image of Lauren with her very simple gypsophelia hair garland that I made. Other (very gorgeous, sparkly) for the shoot were supplied by Liza of Princess Conchetta also based in Aylebsury.
We were lucky enough on the day to focus on an actual wedding set up so I also created a stunning floral urn (which has now become a Signature Flowers favourite!) with gorgeous pink astilbe, ceramic white peonies and roses to compliment the day, and some bridal bouquets for Lauren and her ‘bridesmaid’ Sophie to hold.
Other suppliers that joined us on the day included the Sweet Stylist; Laura and her close supplier friend Melissa of Melissa Woodland Cakes these ladies work faultlessly on their products and their attention to detail is second to none. I love how their very glamorous products look on the wall and crates.
Finally how did we all know about the day? Well obviously with superb, bespoke stationery by Kathryn Deeley. If you are looking for anything from save the dates to stunning table plans please pay Kathryn’s new shop in Leighton Buzzard a visit!
We were also lucky enough to be serenaded by the incredibly talented string group Ariella Strings – if your looking for a string group with a difference please get in touch with Cheryl or John, they can play anything!!
The photos were captured by Northampton based wedding and lifestyle photographer Wendy Grant. I adore Wendy’s style and we even chose her as our wedding photographer – if your looking for informal but beautiful, reportage style wedding images she is the lady to go to.
Enjoy!
